How it works
We subtract the earlier birth date from the later one exactly as when calculating age: days from days, months from months, years from years, borrowing a month or a year when needed. For 12 April 1995 and 3 September 1998: 3 − 12 is negative, so borrow August's 31 days → 22 days; months 8 − 4 = 4; years 1998 − 1995 = 3. For the time between any two dates, not just birthdays, use the date difference calculator.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the age difference between two people?
Enter both birth dates (each in Hijri or Gregorian). The calculator shows who is older and the gap in years, months and days in both calendars, plus the number of days.
Can one date be Hijri and the other Gregorian?
Yes. Each person has their own calendar switch; the dates are unified before the difference is calculated.
Why is the Hijri difference different from the Gregorian one?
Hijri months and years are shorter, so the same span equals slightly more Hijri years. The number of days is identical.
Does the age difference change over time?
No, the gap between two birth dates is fixed. Only each person’s own age changes.
